Description:
There's a scene in this enjoyable countdown show when
Stephen Fry is presented with two antique wooden boxes
with gadgets in them that the production team say he will
recognise. He opens the first and finds, to his delight, a
pair of grape scissors that he used to play with as a child.
Anyone who can get as excited as Fry does about grape
scissors (or about the glove-stretcher tongs in the other
box) may seem an unlikely guide through what could be
dry, nerdy territory. But Fry's love for gadgets of all kinds
is well known and hard to resist.
